A new policy paper published this week by the Canadian Centre for Policy Alternatives examines the idea that Canada's aging population will lead to an unsustainable health-care system. It states that our medical system is sustainable.

'Google Presentation' announced
Google continues to move into territory formerly occupied (and dominated, even monopolized) by Microsoft Office. The latest application is Google Presentation - similar to what Microsoft's PowerPoint offers, 'Google presentation' can be used to create presentations, including a series of slides with text and graphics on them. The entire Docs suite is available for free at http://documents.google.com

But don't forget the Web is full of alternatives to standalone software - try Zoho, which has more online collaboration tools than Google (word processor, spreadsheet, slideshow/presentation, meetings, database, project management and a few others). It's free like Google, but with an "enterprise" option with tech support, single sign in (which you get free in Google), more security and company-wide control. Zoho offers a chat tool as well, and while not integrated like in Google, its tools have been around for a while and offer options.
